The Festival bookshop
piazza de Ferrari
from October 28 to November 8, Monday to Thursday 9 am - 8 pm,
Friday to Sunday 9 am - 10 pm
In piazza de Ferrari, in the structure that houses the Information
point, there will be a bookshop selling books by the Festival
authors, and a selection of popular scientific publications.
Authors' signatures
Festival bookshop - piazza de Ferrari
The authors represented at the Festival of Science will be on
hand at the bookshop to sign copies of their books, at times
to be communicated. The calendar of meetings can be consulted
at the Information point.
Animators
500 scientific animators, chosen from the hundreds of graduates
and students to apply, will accompany members of the public
at the Festival as they explore the "universe of science". The
animators selected have attended a theoretical and practical
training course to enable them to assist the public in the laboratories,
the exhibitions and all the other Festival events.
Another 100 collaborators will provide technical support during
lectures.
The initiative has been made possible by the contribution of
the Genoa Chamber of Commerce.
The Friends of the Festival
The "Friends of the Festival of Science Association" has been
created as part of the Festival organisation; it is open to
individuals, groups, and schools that share a passion for science,
and its goal is to encourage the involvement and active participation
of the public at events.
Friends will obtain numerous advantages: a personal pass valid
for the entire period of the Festival, discounts and invitations
to initiatives organised during the year and to special events
such as dinners or encounters with internationally famous scientists.
It will even be possible to offer hospitality to the scientists
and speakers at the Festival in one's own home.
The Chairman of the Friends of the Festival of Science Association
is Carla Casalone Musso, and it is coordinated by Caterina Fasolini.
